After the very disappointing end of my previous adventure – the attempt to cycle through Central and South America – I decided that I needed some time to forget.
But what could I do? What would fix the never-ending emptiness I felt inside? What would heal the disappointment?
I decided to do what I could do best: setting one foot in front of the other. Being out in nature and answering some essential questions like “What will I eat next?” or “where do I sleep tonight?” – that was exactly what I needed.
And so – not only four weeks after I returned from Guatemala – I packed my backpack again, boarded a train and was jumping right into my next hiking adventure!
